Watch the Digital Hub Lecture 2026
The film recording of the Digital Hub Annual Lecture 2026, 'Silicon Spires - Oxford in the Age of AI', is now available to watch online. The lecture was given by Jesus College Principal, Professor Sir Nigel Shadbolt, on Tuesday 2 June 2026.
In his last public lecture as Principal of Jesus College, Sir Nigel, Professor of Computer Science at Oxford and Chair of the new AI@Oxford Research initiative, discussed the development of the academic fields of Computer Science and Web Science over the past fifty years, and explored emerging themes in the application, ethics and governance of artificial intelligence, with a specific focus on the Oxford ecosystem.
The lecture was hosted and chaired by Professor Jim Naismith, Head of the MPLS Division and a Professorial Fellow at Jesus College.
