5PM – Welcome and introductory talk by Professor Richard Koeck
Richard will take the audience on an insightful journey and exploration of the evolving relationship between humans, media, and spatial environments, tracing their progression from the Renaissance, via Modernity and Postmodernity, to today’s digital age. Speaking on his new book, he will offer a compelling reading and re-evaluation of architectural history and media theory, drawing connections between historical practices, technological innovations, and contemporary immersive experiences.
5.20PM – Panel discussion followed by Q&A
Professor François Penz – Emeritus Professor at the Architecture Department of the University of Cambridge specialised in film and architecture
Hilary Knight – Independent Cultural Consultant and former Director of Digital at Tate who helps creative and cultural organisations worldwide with digital and content strategies that will make them more responsive and resilient in a fast-changing world
Dave Kay – Director of Adlib, a major event technology company with expertise in big live music venues and spatial audio production

This event will take place in the Cheng Kar Shun Digital Hub at Jesus College, Oxford. The Hub entrance is on Market Street (opposite Wagamama). The Hub is accessible, with automatic double doors at the entrance and lifts to and from the main lower ground floor event space.
